In 2011 and 2010, Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital received the ACTION Registry-GWTG Gold Performance Achievement Award recognizing a higher standard of care for the most severe type of heart attack, known as STEMI (ST Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction). The registry documents compliance with standards outlined by the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association.

Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital was the first hospital in the region to receive accreditation by the Society of Chest Pain Centers.

Ministry Saint Clare’s was the first chest pain center in the region to earn national accreditation in 2007 and was recertified in 2010.

Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital was named a Highest Value hospital in 2008 based on the combination of excellent quality results and appropriate resource use for heart bypass surgeries, heart attack treatment, heart angioplasty and the treatment of pneumonia. Only 13 hospitals out of 1,220 hospitals nationwide were given this designation.
