Cardiac Rehabilitation After a Heart Attack
Regaining strength and adopting a heart-healthy lifestyle after a heart event are important steps toward long-term quality of life. Cardiac rehabilitation (rehab) is an education and exercise program to monitor and assist with improving recovery, increasing fitness levels, and reducing the risk of future cardiac events.
Inpatient Cardiac Rehab takes place in the hospital following a heart attack, heart surgery, or a balloon/stent procedure. Participants learn about heart health and begin closely monitored exercise.
Outpatient Cardiac Rehab begins after discharge from the hospital and includes a supervised exercise program and educational classes.
Lifestyle Enhancement is an exercise and wellness program designed for patients who seek support in continuing lifestyle changes after completing outpatient cardiac rehab.
