Residencies and Training program
Critical Care Nurse Residency Programs with Ministry Health Care
Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin and Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital in Weston, Wisconsin offer Critical Care Nurse Residencies which are innovative six month paid multi-modality programs offering classroom education, simulation lab, online and on-the-job clinical training in a tertiary care environment. The primary goal of these residencies is to improve the quality of preparation for the new and/or experienced nurse looking to begin or expand their career to critical care nursing. Registered Nurses learn valuable nursing skills and broaden the scope of their professional career. A Registered Nurse's participation is contingent upon a 3-year employment commitment.
Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital is 500+ bed tertiary care teaching institution, the only major rural referral medical center and Level II trauma center in Central and Northern Wisconsin.
Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital is a 99-bed tertiary care, state-of-the-art Level III trauma center and one of the few rural hospitals in the Midwest that offers a full Open Heart Surgery program.
The Critical Care Nurse Residency Programs run twice a year, starting in January and July (positions dependent on available unit needs). Positions are posted on our career site under the title Critical Care Nurse Residency.
