The ICU is a six-bed unit, with two beds designated for intermediate or lesser type care patients. ICU operates 24 hours a day. The ICU provides care for pediatric to geriatric, surgical or medical patients. They have present or potential life-threatening conditions requiring special equipment, life support equipment, continuous vital signs monitoring and intensive skilled nursing care. The Intermediate Unit is equipped for advanced technology and nursing skills for the patient who requires closer observation than a general nursing floor can provide. Care is primarily provided by RN staff with required Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification(ACLS).
