1. Lappin Home

5747 Timber Ridge Rd. - Sturgeon Bay • PortSide Builders - 2006

The Lappin home, designed by Henry Isaksen, is an elegant 3114 square feet nestled in the woods with abundant wildlife.  The home features an open concept great room, living room, and kitchen that features custom cabinets with granite countertops and high-end appliances. Vaulted ceilings and bay windows add to the airy feel of the space. Patrons will appreciate the gorgeous furniture crafted and constructed by the homeowner including: a complete bedroom set, bookcases, and desks.  The actual workshop may be part of the tour for anyone who is interested.

Directions: Begin at Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center (1015 Green Bay Road). Proceed East 0.2 miles. Make a slight right turn onto Business District Exit. In 0.9 mile turn right onto E. Maple Street. In 0.5 mile left onto S. Third Ave. Follow for 1.9 miles to Gordon Road (Cty Hwy BB).Turn right. Follow Gordon Road for 0.9 mile. Turn left onto Peterson Road. Continue for 0.3 mile to Timber Ridge Rd. Turn left on to Timber Ridge Road and follow for 0.4 mile. The home is on the left.

2. Davis Home

6411 Monument Bluff Pass - Egg Harbor • Peninsula Builders - 2011

The Davis home has 5700 square feet of cottage style wonderful! The home owners designed and built the home to share with family and friends. The yard and gardens evolve every year and display many plants shared by friends.  The patio features an actual wood burning pizza oven!   Stone countertops are both practical and beautiful. Throughout their tour, patrons will appreciate the details in the lighting, trim work, and tile. An eclectic collection of art is also displayed throughout the home.

Directions: Proceed 0.4 to Peterson Road. Turn right onto Peterson Road. In 0.7 mile turn right onto Walker Road. Follow for 1.2 miles to State Hwy 42. Turn left on to State Hwy 42. Continue for 5.9 miles to Monument Point Road. (BP Station on the right) Turn left and proceed 1.3 miles to Monument Bluff Pass. Turn left onto Monument Bluff Pass for 0.4 miles. Home is on the left. Park of the east side of the road.

3. Ansley Home

4281 Cottage Row - Fish Creek

The Ansley home is a reclaimed barn that exhibits a patina of a bygone era. With over 1500 square feet on each of three floors, patrons will appreciate a mix of contemporary and old world charms throughout.  The beams are original and were milled directly from the property.  Siding is repurposed from the original barn, and the barn’s symmetry has been maintained.  In fact, several doors are showcased in the upstairs. An open concept first floor highlights a gourmet kitchen with high-end appliances. The home rests on 50 acres of an age-old Door County cherry orchard.

Directions: Proceed to Monument Point Road (0.3 mile) Turn left onto Monument Point Road. Go 1.3 miles to State Hwy 42. Turn left onto State Hwy 42. Proceed 11.4 miles. Turn left onto Cottage Row. Follow for 0.4 mile. The home is on your left.

4. Quinlan-Wagner Home

3619 Mickey Way - Valmy • Johnsen Schmaling Architects / Tielens Construction - 2014

This unique, under 1800 square feet, home has received several architectural awards for its contemporary design which blends the best of Door County’s beauty with a cutting-edge style.  The “stacked cabin” is a hideaway that blends the beauty and simplicity of small spaces.  The home interacts with its surroundings, gives off energy, and incorporates the roof’s “green design” which make the structure appear to live and breathe. The floor-to-ceiling windows are actually expansive sliding walls that combine elegance and beauty with geometry and natural light. The kitchen and dining area are a seamless extension of the living room and share views of the forest.

Directions: Proceed to Cottage Row (0.4mile). At the end of the road turn right onto State Hwy 42. In 5.4 miles turn left on to County Road T.( The south end of Egg Harbor) In 6.4 miles take a slight right turn and continue on County Road T for 3 miles. At the end of the road turn right onto State Hwy 57. In 1.5 miles turn left on to Whitefish Bay Road. Follow the road for 2.3 miles to South Cave Point Drive. Turn left onto South Cave Point Drive and proceed 0.9 miles. The home is on the left. Park on the east side of the road. (There is a turnaround at the end of the road)

5. Getzloff Home

2796 Buffalo Ridge Rd. - Sturgeon Bay • Custom-built - 2005

The Getzloff custom built, hand-hewn, full log home is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that features an open floor plan that covers over 2300 square feet of living space. The ceiling features knotty pine paneling while the flooring is southern pine.  The stone fireplace warms the spacious living room that has a loft area overlooking this space. Cabinets in the kitchen are hickory, and the table is made from wood directly milled from the property.

Directions: Follow South Cave Point Drive 0.9 miles to Whitefish Bay Road. Turn right and follow Whitefish Bay Road for 2.3 miles. At the end of the road turn left onto State Hwy 57. In 2.3 miles turn left onto Country View Road. Follow for 2.3 miles to County Road T. Turn right onto County Road T. Go 1 mile and turn left onto Mathey Road. Follow for 2.1 miles to Buffalo Ridge Trail. Turn right on to Buffalo Ridge Trail. Go 1 mile to Canal Road. Turn left on Canal Road. Go 1.5 miles to Buffalo Ridge Road. Turn left and proceed 0.6 miles. The home on the right.
