Hunter named Wisconsin Association Medical Staff Services President-Elect
Wendy Hunter, CPMSM, Coordinator, Medical Staff Services, Ministry Eagle River Memorial Hospital and Howard Young Medical Center, was recently elected as President-Elect for the Wisconsin Association Medical Staff Services (WAMSS) for a two year term, beginning January 1, 2011 and will serve on the WAMSS Board of Directors.
WAMSS is an organization of more than 160 members, inclusive of members from adjoining states, and is devoted to influencing and promoting quality standards for the administrative management of healthcare professionals. WAMSS interacts with regulatory agencies and other health care industry agencies regarding credentialing and professional staff issues to ensure the members are receiving key information through educational offerings.
“Through Wendy’s membership in WAMSS, she receives additional resources and education to ensure that our medical staff are properly credentialed,” said Sheila Clough, President, Ministry Howard Young Health Care. “Her commitment to Ministry Health Care and WAMSS is demonstrated further by her election to the office of President-Elect, and we are very proud of her.”
