Auxiliary makes initial donation for new hospital canopy

Flambeau Hospital Auxiliary reconvened after their summer break and got down to business with their first meeting of the year. Auxiliary Treasurer Joan Ludwig presented Dave Grundstrom, Chief Administrative Officer of Flambeau Hospital with a $50,000 check, the initial part of the $117,000 pledge for the new hospital expansion project’s drive thru canopy. The auxiliary made the pledge in June to fund the canopy. The remainder of the plege will be met within two years.

“The hospital entrance has never had a drive up, protected from the climate entrance. This is a great benefit to the hospital expansion project,” stated Grundstrom. “ We are very grateful to the auxiliary. Without their donation the canopy would not be possible. “

“The Auxiliary Thrift Shop’s earnings are what makes these donation projects possible”’ stated Ginny Bosse, President of the Flambeau Hospital Auxiliary. “It takes many committed hospital volunteers to run such a successful shop.”

The hospital expansion and remodeling project is on schedule to be completed by the end of May 2012.
