Good Samaritan Health Center Foundation Golf Outing Raises $15,000 for Merrill Community

Golfers from throughout North Central Wisconsin once again have scored a hole in one in support of the Good Samaritan Health Center Foundation’s annual Golf outing.

100 Golfers hit the links on Sunday, July 25 for the 24th annual outing held at the Merrill Golf Club.

In its commitment to its mission and values, proceeds from the event benefit the greatest health needs in the Merrill Community as a part of the Foundations annual funding allocations to community organizations.

Including this year’s total, the event has raised nearly $90,000 over the past five years.

“We are truly blessed for the support of our golf outing,” said Foundation Director Kathy Brecke. “We realize that these are difficult economic times and to have this level of support shows how special the Merrill community is.”

Brecke also extended her thanks to the many businesses and individuals that supported the event as hole sponsors and those who made donations for the various raffles and auctions that played a key role in support of the event.

24th Annual Good Samaritan Foundation Golf Outing Winners:

Mixed Division: Bone & Joint: William Fisher, Bri Sims, Todd Frombach, Jackie Nefstead

Men’s Division: Brickner Motors Little Chicago: Dave Hagedorn, Pete “Red” Peterson, Joe Mielczarek , Gary Koy

Brecke says that information on the Foundation’s allocation process for 2011 will be available in October.
