Good Samaritan Volunteers Install New Leadership and Award Educational Scholarships
The Volunteers of Ministry Health Care's Good Samaritan Health Center in Merrill gathered on January 28 to appoint new leaders, share some good company and goodwill.
Organized in 1966 the Volunteers serve and support the mission of Good Samaritan Health Center. Through service and fundraising, the Volunteers are an integral part of Good Samaritan and Merrill health care. Volunteers provide a wide variety of services to the patients and the hospital.
The Volunteers re-elected Kathy Steckel and Ramona Hornischer as co-presidents and Leota Davis as treasurer. They also selected LeeAnn Lindquist as the group’s new secretary.
In addition, the group awarded its annual educational scholarships to hospital employees for continuing education in the field of medicine. These scholarships are funded by the proceeds of the Volunteer Gift Shop, located inside of the main entrance to Good Samaritan Health Center.
Educational scholarships were awarded to the following staff of Good Samaritan Health Center:
- Misty Ward - Emergency Department Director
- Brenda Adamec - RN
- Nicole Schult - RN
- Ashley Kremseiter - CNA
- Wendy Armstrong – Health Information Director
