Ministry Good Samaritan to Host Yoga Workshop on October 24

The ancient practice of Yoga has specific therapeutic approaches that can be used to work with your nervous system to address symptoms of stress and anxiety such as sleeplessness, increased heart rate, breathing issues, and mood.

Ministry Health Care’s Good Samaritan Health Center in Merrill is offering a one-day Yoga Workshop where participants will learn five tools and techniques of yoga that can be used to reduce stress and cope with anxiety.

Led by Mary Hilliker of River Flow Yoga, this workshop on Sunday, October 24 from 1 – 4 p.m. in the Menard Center is for beginners as well as those experienced in yoga who want to enhance their personal practice.

Hilliker has been a student of yoga for more than 18-years and a teacher for 11 years. She has completed advanced teacher training and yoga therapy training with Gary Kraftsow and the faculty of the American Viniyoga Institute. Her goal is to help students find yoga practices that are practical for everyday life and individual needs.

Cost for the workshop is $25 per person. Space is limited and registration is required by calling Good Samaritan Health Center Community Health and Wellness at 715.539.5090. Walk-ins will be welcome if space permits.
