Ministry Health Care to "Strike Out Hunger" for Merrill Food Pantry
Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center is encouraging the Merrill community to help "Strike Out Hunger."
As a part of it’s sponsorship of Merrill Community Night with the Wisconsin Woodchucks on Thursday, June 24, Ministry Good Samaritan is offering free general admission tickets to anyone who makes a cash or non-perishable food item donation to the Merrill Food Pantry.
Volunteers from Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center will collect the donations and distribute the free tickets while supplies last from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., from June 14-24 in the hospital’s main lobby. In order to make this an enjoyable experience for everyone, Ministry Good Samaritan asks that ticket requests are limited to immediate family members only. Ticket offer is good while supplies last and must be collected at time of donation.
“We hope that the Merrill Community will join us in helping the Merrill Food Pantry and take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the family entertainment offered by the Wisconsin Woodchucks,” said Tom Weaver, public and community relations manager for Ministry Health Care.
Game time for the Woodchucks Merrill Community Night at Athletic Park in Wausau is 6:35 p.m. against the Battle Creek Bombers. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the first 500 fans will receive a Ministry Health Care Woodchucks Pennant.
In addition, the Woodchucks and Ministry Health Care are sponsoring a free baseball camp for kids ages 14 & under at 10:30 a.m. on June 24th. The camp will feature Woodchucks players, manager Guido Aspeitia and Woody. All participants should bring a baseball glove and will receive a free general admission ticket to Merrill Community Night courtesy of Ministry Health Care.
