Officials from Ministry Health Care, Ministry Medical Group, Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center and the Merrill Community gathered to formally dedicate Ministry Medical Group’s Merrill Clinic on Thursday September 30th.
In a blessing and dedication program led by Bishop Peter Christensen of the Diocese of Superior and Sister Lois Bush, vice president of mission and culture for Ministry Health Care, the event followed by a Merrill Chamber Ribbon cutting and Community Open House formally marked the grand opening of the latest location for Ministry Medical Group.
“We are proud to officially dedicate our Merrill Clinic which supports Ministry’s goal to integrate and provide seamless delivery of health care services in an efficient and cost-effective environment, while remaining responsive to the needs of our patients, their families, our physicians and staff,” Ministry Health Care Regional Chief Executive Officer Jeff Martin during the blessing and dedication held in the Chapel at Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center.
The nearly 5,000 square-foot clinic is located on the 4th floor of Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center, 601 South Center Avenue, Merrill.
Dr. Mark Gaulke, who specializes in internal medicine and pediatrics, began seeing patients on August 9. Family Medicine specialist Dr. Dionna Pendleton officially joined the clinic on September 27 and is now seeing patients.
“Our Merrill Clinic represents a significant investment by Ministry Medical Group and Ministry Health Care to the people of Merrill and all of Lincoln County,” said Dr. Mark Fenlon, regional vice president for Ministry Medical Group. “Our commitment to bringing compassionate health care to families in central and northern Wisconsin goes back more than 125 years, drawing from the commitment and vision of the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother.”
Ministry Medical Group also represents a collaborative effort with physicians and staff of Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center to meet the healthcare needs of the community.
“The addition of this clinic and the caring clinicians and staff who put patients first will not only enhance the services available in our community, but provide another entry point to the comprehensive system of care provided by Ministry Health Care,” said Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center President Kris McGarigle.
