Ministry Medical Group Primary Care Clinic in Merrill on Target to Open this Summer
Continuing its commitment to providing health care services to the people of Merrill and Lincoln County, Ministry Health Care is pleased to announce that Ministry Medical Group in Merrill is on target to begin providing patient care this summer.
Planning began more than a year ago for the nearly 5,000 square-foot primary care clinic which will be located on the 4th floor of Good Samaritan Health Center at 601 South Center Avenue, Merrill.
Work crews recently finished construction on the clinic space which features seven exam rooms, a procedure room, reception and waiting area as well as other office and clinical staff space.
Recruitment efforts for physicians at Ministry Medical Group in Merrill have been ongoing with the first physician, Mark Gaulke, M.D., who specializes in internal medicine/pediatrics scheduled to begin seeing patients in August.
“We are thrilled that Dr. Gaulke will help us launch our new Merrill Clinic,” Ministry Medical Group President and Chief Executive Officer Stewart Watson, M.D. “He will be a tremendous additional to our medical staff and we look forward to him becoming a part of the Merrill community.”
Recruitment continues for other Ministry Medical Group primary care physicians to join Dr. Gaulke to not only provide patient care for the outpatient clinic, but also assist in providing necessary inpatient coverage those admitted to Good Samaritan Health Center.
“We have been working hard to establish the framework for this exciting new clinic which will provide a key resource for our community,” said Good Samaritan Health Center Interim President Kris McGarigle. “We are proud that framework will feature a combination of services from Good Samaritan Health Center and the physicians and staff of Ministry Medical Group.”
