Mission and Values Week Activities Support Merrill Food Pantry
Each September, Ministry Health Care staff and volunteers throughout the system celebrate Mission and Values Week, a week of activities to celebrate the mission of the catholic heath care system and values of its sponsor, The Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother.
Ministry Employees in Merrill used the occasion to hold a silent auction and “Cooking for a Cause” event where staff joined together to prepare frozen meals for the Merrill Food Pantry.
The end result…55 pans of tasty home cooked items like Lasagna, Cheesy Ham and Potatoes, Smoked Sausage and Macaroni and Cheese along with $2800 that will be given to the food pantry to support their efforts for residents of Merrill and Lincoln County.
“This was truly a team effort that once again shows the generosity of our staff,” said Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center Chaplain Sue Kruger. “These events will go a long way in supporting those in need in our community.”
