Prostate Education Program Rescheduled for November 10
In the detection and treatment of cancer, advanced warning can often be the difference between life and death.
Prostate Cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death among men, but when caught early it has an encouragingly high cure rate.
However, new recommendations from the American Cancer Society and the American Urological Society have raised several questions on the effectiveness of routine prostate screenings.
These new recommendations will be the subject of an educational program on Wednesday, November 10 from 6-7pm in the Menard Center at Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center in Merrill.
Urologist Dr. Joseph Babiarz of Urology Specialists of Wisconsin will lead the discussion and answer questions.
This is a free program and advanced registration is not required. For more information, please contact Carol Crevier at 715.539.5075.
