Dr. Nils Olson Retires from Howard Young Health Care Board of Directors
WOODRUFF, WI--Susan Pukall, President of the Board of Directors of the Howard Young Health Care Board announced that the term of Nils Olson, DO, as a member of the board will be ending in July.
Dr. Olson has been a practicing physician in the Lakeland region for over thirty years. He joined the medical staff at Howard Young in January 1976. Dr. Olson completed his medical training at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO in 1973 and did an internship at Charles E. Still Osteopathic Hospital during 1973-1974.
He currently serves as medical director for the Dr. Kate Convalescent Center, a position he has held for many years. He is lifetime certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians/Family Practice
"We are really going to miss having Dr. Olson as part of the Howard Young board," stated Sheila Clough, President of Howard Young Medical Center. "He has always been an important member of our team and helped us achieve our goals related to our long term care initiatives," she noted.
Dr. Olson began his service on the Board of Directors of the Dr. Kate Convalescent Center (DKCC) in 1999. In 2001, DKCC joined the Howard Young Health Care and Affiliate's Board where Dr. Olson served as a board member until the present time.
Dr. Olson continues to practice medicine at Marshfield Clinic-Mercer Center in Mercer, Wisconsin.
