Ellis, Pukall Complete Term with Howard Young Health Care Board of Directors
Sheila Clough, President, Howard Young Health Care (HYHC), announced that the board terms of Thomas S. Ellis and Susan Pukall will be ending in September.
Ellis has served on the HYHC Board of Directors and the Affiliates Board of Directors since 1999, and as Chairman of the Board 2005-2007. He is currently past chair of the board and a member of the Finance and Investment Committee.
Ellis is president and chairman of the Board of the First National Bank of Eagle River. He is also president of Ellis Bankshares, Inc, the parent corporation of the bank. Ellis moved to Eagle River in December of 1994 from Wisconsin Rapids, where he was president of the Fireplace Division of Preway, Inc., a manufacturer of prefabricated metal fireplaces, heating equipment and gas cooking grills.
He served on the Board of Directors for Eagle River Memorial Hospital and serves on the volunteer boards for the Eagle River Revitalization Program (treasurer), Klondike Days and the Northwoods Land Trust. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Riverview Hospital Association in Wisconsin for nine years, serving on several committees of the board and holding the office of vice president.
Pukall has served on the HYHC Board of Directors and the Affiliates Board of Directors since 1999, and as Chairman of the Board 2007-2009. She is currently chair of the board and a member of the Finance and Investment Committee.
Pukall is employed by Pukall Lumber Company, a family owned wood products manufacturer and building supply yard in Woodruff. She graduated from Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota in 1984 with a degree in Political Science, and received her MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1987. Pukall previously worked as a financial journalist for Dow Jones in Frankfurt, Germany, returning to the U.S. in 1998.
