(WOODRUFF, WI) – To honor Ministry Health Care’s Mission and Values Week, Ministry Howard Young Health Care (MHYHC) donated $1,000 on behalf of its associates to the New Dawn Pregnancy Resource Center in Minocqua.
In addition to the financial contribution, MHYHC associates from Woodruff and Eagle River also donated dozens of items and gift cards to support the New Dawn Pregnancy Resource Center. The donated items included diapers, baby wipes, baby lotion, baby shampoo, baby wash, water, and gift cards.
For a week each year in September, Ministry Health Care celebrates Mission and Values Week to coincide with the Feast of the Sorrowful Mother. In this system-wide celebration, the mission and values of the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother are shared among all hospitals and clinics to educate, renew, and reinforce their importance in the Ministry Health Care system.
“Ministry Eagle River Memorial Hospital and Howard Young Medical Center are passionate about supporting local charities and felt the New Dawn Pregnancy Center was a beneficial recipient for the work they do in our communities,” said Howard Young Medical Center Director of Patient Care Services, Dawn Gapko. “The celebration was developed to help create a sense of unity, and call each and every one of us to find a deeper understanding and sense of accountability for living our Mission and Values.”
“We desire to provide a place where women can be empowered to make life-affirming and informed decisions when faced with an unplanned pregnancy,” said New Dawn Executive Director, Tammy Dallmann. “This donation from Ministry Health Care will go a long way to benefit the people we serve.”
