Ministry Health Care announces new technology for Breast MRI services
WOODRUFF, WI—Howard Young Health Care recently acquired VIBRANT (Volume Imaging for Breast AssessmeNT) software for their state-of-the-art high definition magnetic resonance (HDMR) system that will provide patients at Howard Young Medical Center and Eagle River Memorial Hospital with the most comprehensive and comfortable Breast MRI testing in the area.
“This new technology will enable us to keep patients close to home for testing, rather than referring them to other facilities outside of our local communities,” said Rebecca A. Morin, Vice President of Patient Care Services, Howard Young Health Care.
VIBRANT, an exclusive GE technique, is a powerful new weapon in the war against breast cancer. This technology enables a bilateral breast exam to be performed in multiple planes with the same resolution and scan time as a single-breast MRI study. The Breast MRI's will be read by a Marshfield Clinic Radiologist that specializes in breast imaging. With one in three breast cancer patients having undiagnosed multi-focal disease, VIBRANT provides the missing link in a comprehensive breast assessment.
The MRI scanner provides highly detailed pictures of a patient’s anatomy and pathology. The clarity and detail allows the radiologist to evaluate a wide range of conditions, including those affecting the brain, musculoskeletal system, the heart, and now breast tissue.
“Howard Young Health Care’s new high definition Breast MRI system will produce images of amazing clarity and detail. We will get superior images even in the most difficult cases, and that means better care for our patients,” said Morin.
