The area boasts over 32,000 acres of pristine forest, a well-maintained network of biking, hiking and cross-country ski trails, 3 state parks, 21 trout streams and more than 500 miles of snowmobile trails.
While some might call this "small-town" living, the area does not fall short on excitement and offers plenty of activities all year round. Stanley has its own theater, library, an assortment of restaurants, golf courses, parks, a fitness center with an Olympic-size swimming pool and even its own rodeo.
The Stanley community is home to a number of parochial schools and is part of the Stanley/Boyd Public School District.
