School Contracts

Contractual Agreement
Ministry Health Care and the academic institution must have a current student affiliation contract in place for students to have a clinical learning experience. Please consult your school administrator for information about your school's agreement status with Ministry Health Care. If a contract needs to be established, please contact Student Affiliations Coordinator.

Liability Issues.
Ministry's Student Affiliation contracts mandate that academic institutions maintain general and professional liability for their students. Appropriate Certificates of Insurance will be provided upon request. Failure to maintain insurance shall be grounds for immediate termination of the Agreement.

Background Checks.
Ministry's Student Affiliation contracts mandate that all academic institutions are required to perform background checks for each student in accordance with the Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check laws and the OIG's (Office of Inspector General from the United States Department of Health and Human Services) List of Excluded Individuals/Entities with the results communicated to Student Affiliation office prior to the commencement of the student's placement. Ministry Health Care has the sole discretion in determining whether the results are sufficient to preclude further participation by the student.
