Ministry Health Care and The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc., (ABPN) congratulate an ABPN diplomate in Psychiatry. Meredith Holbrook, MD successfully passed the Initial Certification Examination in Psychiatry January 13, 2012.
In becoming Board certified, Dr. Holbrook has completed rigorous training and achieved the gold standard in each of the six core competencies of patient care, medical knowledge, interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism, system-based practice, and practice-based learning and improvement to practice quality specialized medicine in Psychiatry.
The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. (ABPN) is a non-profit corporation that was founded in 1934. Since 1935, when its first examination was delivered, the ABPN has been serving the public interest and promoting excellence in the practices of psychiatry and neurology through its certification and maintenance of certification processes. These processes are designed to identify qualified specialists through rigorous credential and training requirements and successful completion of its board examination for psychiatry, neurology, or neurology with special qualification in child neurology. The ABPN is a Member Board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).
Dr. Holbrook joins five board-certified psychiatrists who offer services in Ministry Health Care’s northern region. They include Dr. Carol Barber, Dr. Gabi Hangiandreou, Dr. Mandeep Singh, Dr. Lee Wheeler, and Dr. Herb White. Ministry Behavioral Health also includes psychologists, substance abuse counselors, therapists and nurse practitioners who provide complete diagnostic evaluations and expert treatment for individuals, groups, couples and families to assure a healthy community.
