Great progress after ankle fracture

Marcy and Vicki's story

It’s morning. The start of a new day. A woman is getting up and getting ready to go to her job in home hospice care. This woman’s name is Vicki Leavitt and not long ago, the idea of returning to work seemed impossible.

While on the job, Vicki slipped and fell, fracturing a bone in her ankle and tearing two tendons. She arrived at Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center to begin, what would be a dedicated and inspiring road to recovery.

After undergoing surgery, Vicki began treatment at Ministry Good Samaritan under the care of Marcy Wiltgen, PTA. Utilizing stretches, exercises and soft tissue mobilization, she began to show great progress. Vicki spoke highly of Marcy’s level of sincerity and empathy. She praises Marcy for sharing in both her struggles and successes, always going above and beyond the call of duty.

Today, as she gets ready to go to work, Vicki is proud. Proud of her accomplishments, of her healthier lifestyle, and of spending time with her son. Most of all, she is proud to say she achieved it all with Marcy’s help.
