Measuring cups line the counter; a woman glances at the old recipe card on the table and then begins to pour. Wonderful smells permeate the kitchen as the recipe comes together. The woman’s name is Ashlee and she recently gave birth to a healthy boy.
When Ashlee found out she was pregnant with her first child, she decided to go to Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital in Weston. During her pregnancy she attended all of the birthing classes along with her husband and found them to be very informative.
Ashlee was five days past her due date when her water broke and she and her husband headed to Ministry. Ashlee was two centimeters dilated when she checked in and after some time passed was given Pitocin to help speed up the process.
During labor Ashlee relied on many of the pain management techniques she learned in class, before receiving an epidural to help with the pain. After 40 minutes of pushing she gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Brooks.
Today, Ashlee is a stay at home mom and loves watching Brooks grow bigger by the moment.
