The air is filled with the sound of leaves rustling in the wind. A bird’s whistle echoes somewhere in the distance. A women’s heart beats fast and steady as she swiftly walks past the beautiful scenery. Her name is Darlene and she had robotic surgery.
Darlene had been suffering from painful cysts on her ovaries for quite some time. She had a family history of ovarian cancer and with her doctor decided it was best to have a hysterectomy. Darlene went to a presentation on robotic surgery given by Dr. Yasmin, a Marshfield Clinic doctor on staff at Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital in Weston. She was so impressed, she made an appointment for her surgery the next day.
Darlene was extremely pleased with her decision, she experienced little pain and was able to go home the next day. Having experience with surgery before, Darlene was blown away with the quick recovery time and minimal incisions of robotic surgery. She felt so good after surgery she had to remind herself to stop and rest.
Darlene loves exercising outdoors, and every time she laces her shoes, she’s grateful for the robotic technology at Ministry that allowed her to get back on her feet.
