Ministry Health Care Birth Centers provide comprehensive, family-centered services including labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn care. Services are provided for both high-risk and low-risk pregnancies and newborns.

Ministry Health Care’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Marshfield provides care for critically ill newborns. The NICU, which is a Level III unit, is staffed by neonatologists from Marshfield Clinic and nurses who specialize in care of critically ill newborns. Some are transported to Ministry Saint Joseph’s Children’s Hospital via helicopter or specially equipped ambulance. A team of neonatologists, RNs, LPNs, unit assistants, unit clerks, social workers, and physical therapists provide care for over 400 fragile newborns each year.

In conjunction with Ministry Medical Group and Marshfield Clinic, Ministry Health Care offers a variety of perinatal services including high-risk pregnancy management and prenatal diagnostic services staffed by perinatologists, ultrasonographers and genetic counselors.
