Having a baby is a wonderful experience -- especially when you can deliver your child into the world in Ministry Saint Clare's Hospital's Family Birth Center. It's the newest and most advanced birth center in the region, giving you access to an experienced team, innovative technology and a comfortable birthing experience.

An experienced team

Our experienced staff is caring and dedicated. They're uniquely trained to give you the personalized labor support you need, to take care of you and your baby before, during, and after delivery. Your caregivers include specialized nurses as well as access to the region's most comprehensive team of clinical specialists from Ministry Medical Group and Marshfield Clinic. Your care extends beyond delivery to include full postpartum care and breastfeeding support from our board certified lactation consultant. Labor of Love

As a vollyball player, Kelly knows the importance of teamwork, and that's what she received from Ministry.

The day Kelly went into labor she initially thought her water had broken early that morning and decided to go to Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital during her lunch hour. She discovered that her water had not broken, but that she was in the early stages of labor. Around 8:00 p.m. that evening she could feel the contractions fairly regularly, and at 10:45 her water broke. Initially it seemed Kelly would have plenty of time for an epidural, but labor progressed so quickly, the nursing staff had to react quickly to get her set to deliver.

Ultimately Kelly delivered without complications and soon had a healthy baby boy whom she named Ryan. She talks about the nursing staff with great enthusiasm along with the facilities at Minitstry Saint Clare's Family Birth Center.

A Comfortable Birthing Experience

The Family Birth Center was designed for families to enjoy the birthing experience together. Private rooms allow for labor, delivery, and recovery in the same room. Your newborn can be in your room throughout your stay, or go to the nursery if you need some time to rest. To provide mom with special comforts, each spacious suite includes:

Advanced Care

Your baby is in caring, capable hands at Ministry Saint Clare's. Special-care nursery beds offer an advanced level of care for babies in need, as does a direct connection to Ministry Saint Joseph's Children's Hospital in Marshfield. It's Wisconsin's only children's hospital outside Madison and Milwaukee, and the site of the region's only neonatal and pediatric intensive care units staffed 24/7 by a full complement of specialists.
