Volunteering in the Stevens Point Area
Be a part of this incredible journey
Hospice is about living each day to the fullest. It’s about helping individuals dying of terminal illness live each day in a pain-free environment, with dignity and peace. As a hospice volunteer, you can be a part of this incredible journey.
Hospice volunteers are special men and women! While caring for others, many find new meaning in their own lives, gain greater self-knowledge, and experience satisfaction from making a difference in others’ lives. As a result, volunteers often become more focused on the parts of life that matter most.
Volunteers are currently needed in Stevens Point as well as the surrounding communities to support hospice patients and their loved ones in their homes, nursing homes, and other residential care facilities. Commitments generally run 1-4 hours per week, depending on volunteer availability and patient needs. In addition, there are currently openings for volunteers who are interested in helping with education, outreach, fundraising and clerical duties.
Our next training will be offered Tuesdays, September 22, 29 and October 6, 2015 1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. at 2501 Main Street, Stevens Point.
Make each day count - become a hospice volunteer!
