The Saint Mary's Hospital Birth Center provides comprehensive, family-centered services including labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn care. The competent and experienced nursing staff supports you throughout your birthing experience with warmth and respect. Ministry Medical Group board-certified obstetrician/gynecologists on staff provide high levels of expertise. Nurse Practitioners specialized in women's health and pediatricians experienced in newborn care also practice here.

Five comfortable suites have more the feel of home than hospital. In this room, you will labor, birth (non-cesarean), recover and rest for your entire hospital stay. The warm, inviting atmosphere features a fold-out sleeper chair for your support person, rocker, TV and phone. It also contains everything the staff will need for your baby's birth. A surgical suite exclusively for cesarean-section births is located within the department.

We also provide fetal monitoring equipment with mobile capabilities for women who prefer to be up and out of bed during labor. Optional alternative laboring measures include birthing ball, shower, rocking chair, squatting bar, and whirlpool.  Anesthesia services are available 24 hours a day for pain control. Lactation consultation is also available for breastfeeding mothers.

For newborns requiring special care we offer a direct connection to Saint Joseph's Children's Hospital in Marshfield. It's Wisconsin's only children's hospital outside Madison and Milwaukee, and the site of the region's only pediatric intensive care units staffed 24/7 by a full complement of specialists.

The Center offers ongoing support and educational opportunities including childbirth preparation, exercise during pregnancy, and infant care and feeding (breast or bottle).
