Joint Coordinator, Shawn Dombrowski, RN has 20 years of orthopedic nursing experience. Should you need joint replacement surgery, she will help you navigate through the entire surgical process.

Nursing staff: Our staff specializes in orthopedic surgery care and is dedicated to helping you achieve your goals.
Prior to having joint replacement surgery, you can expect one on one, personalized care to prepare you for your upcoming surgery.
Patients will consult with your surgeon who will answer your questions and explain the benefits and risks of joint replacement surgery.
Our Joint Coordinator will personally meet with you to explain your surgery, the recovery period, and establish a discharge plan which best meets your personal needs.
The Joint Coordinator will introduce you to the joint replacement program that includes receiving educational materials that provide you with information on what to expect with joint replacement surgery, getting ready for your surgery, your joint exercises, and pain management options.
The Joint Coordinator will also assist you in obtaining any needed equipment before your surgery.
Your Hospital Stay:
As a patient who has gone through Ministry Medical Group’s Joint Venture Program, you will receive accelerated rehabilitation from our Joint Venture Team of doctors, physical therapist, occupational therapist, and nursing staff.
You will receive individual physical therapy twice daily.
You will be closely monitored by your Joint Coordinator who will update you on your lab work, your physical progress, and assist with your discharge needs including coordinating home health, outpatient Physical Therapy, or a short term rehab stay.
As a joint replacement patient, you will receive daily newsletters that outline your activities and goals for the day.
Patients who have joint replacement surgery through Ministry Medical Group’s Joint Venture program will receive a Joint Venture t-shirt and shorts that allow you to comfortably move for therapy.
You will enjoy made to order meals during your stay, and complimentary meals will be provided for your joint replacement “coach”.
You will be closely followed by your Physician and their Physician Assistants to monitor your progress during your post-op appointments.
You will continue with your recovery and therapy as arranged. The Joint Coordinator will be available for any post-op questions or concerns.
You will receive an invitation for you and your “coach” to attend our reunion picnic where your Joint Venture Team looks forwarding to seeing you again.
