Industrial Rehab

Ministry Medical Group Employer Solutions industrial rehabilitation staff specializes in injury prevention and treatment of work and non-work related injury. The focus of safely returning the employee to work starts at the moment we begin treatment.

We provide outpatient therapy offered by physical therapists, athletic trainers and occupational therapists. Ministry Medical Group Employer Solutions follows the philosophy of DSI Work Solutions—this program allows the tester to determine maximum function based on objective physical findings.

Ministry Medical Group Employer Solutions provides the following industrial rehab services:

Work Conditioning: Clinic Based Onsite

Work conditioning is a therapeutic work program. This program occurs 5 days a week from 2 to 4 hours per day. In most cases, time spent in work conditioning is considered part of the client’s work day. The program assists the client in returning to work through a series of exercise and work simulation activities. The therapist facilitates communication between the insurance company, employer, and physician office. This program typically lasts 2 to 6 weeks.

Work Hardening – Award Winning Service!

Work hardening offers simulated work stations in an industrial setting to increase a worker’s activity tolerance and physical abilities. We use an interdisciplinary team of rehabilitation specialists including a physician, occupational therapists, physical therapists, vocational rehabilitation counselor and psychologists.  The goal of the program is to return the injured worker to gainful employment as soon as safely possible. Our Workers’ Rehabilitation Program is accredited in comprehensive occupational rehabilitation programs by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, which is the most prominent and prestigious national review organization for rehabilitation services. The work hardening program was also the recipient of the J.M Foundation National Award for Excellence in Vocational Programs for Outstanding Achievement in Work Hardening.

Onsite Therapist Services

All therapy is not created equal. Our therapists have advanced training handling work injury, including both DSI Work Solution Certification and designation as a WorkWell Quality Provider.  Therapists are trained to understand the goals and needs of the worker and the employer.

Functional Job Analysis

The Functional Job Analysis includes analysis of a particular job with a descriptive write-up with input from the employee and employer. Information is obtained through objective measurements from on-site observation and videotaping. Once the job description is developed, our staff will provide information on how the job could be modified to make the work site safer for employees.

Functional Capacity Evaluation

The Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is a one- or two-day assessment of the patient’s functional capabilities. The test safely and objectively measures various tolerances and strength capabilities, such as pushing/pulling, lifting/carrying, gripping, climbing stairs and balance.

Pre-Work Screen: Upon Hire, Transfer, Stay at Work & Return to Work

The pre-work screen is a process of screening the client for a specific job. The evaluating therapist may determine whether the client can meet the job demands; however, it is the sole responsibility of the employer to make the hiring decision.

Ergonomic Consultation

Our therapists offer ergonomic consultation in industrial and office settings. The staff works with your employees to assess their jobs, including work tasks, work stations, and work environment to identify ergonomic risk factors and offer solutions. Through job coaching, we emphasize the importance of behavioral and environmental modifications so employees can incorporate approaches to improving ergonomics.

Data Analysis

All therapy services include data analysis outcomes to identify Return on Investment. Data is tracked monthly, quarterly & year to date. Data tracked includes: number of therapy visits, number of employees seen for early intervention, types of injuries, cases that remained early intervention versus a recordable, and many more. All data tracking is a dynamic process that is continuously evolving with your workforce and is customizable to the employer need.
