Week 11 Updates: The Seven Dimensions of Wellness

Thank you to Lisa Fahney with Saints Health Services for Business who discussed the seven dimensions of wellness this week. Lisa did an outstanding job explaining to us that wellness is not just feeling good, but it involves multiple components in our lives. She defined wellness as a process through which people become aware of and make choices towards a more successful existence. The participants also had an opportunity to try simple relaxation exercises and learned easy to incorporate meditation techniques.

Lisa stated that change and understanding start with you. By that she emphasized it’s important to review the wellness dimensions and do a self assessment. Which dimensions are you most satisfied with? What changes would allow you to have a better balance in all seven dimensions. Start with one dimension and slowly make positive changes. Food Collected

At our meeting last night we collected 41.4 lbs of food. Combined with previous totals of 686.2 we have collected over 727.6 lbs of canned goods! We have three weeks left of the competition, wouldn’t it be great to break the 1000 lbs mark. Again thank you to everyone who has contributed, keep up the great work!
