Let us help
Coping with chronic, non-healing wounds can be both frustrating and time consuming, but expert care is available to help improve healing and your quality of life. At Ministry Medical Group, our professional staff is highly trained in the specialized comprehensive care of problem wounds, using the latest clinical tools and evidence-based practices in the science of wound care.
A Customized Treatment Plan
During the first appointment at Ministry Medical Group, patients undergo a thorough diagnostic evaluation to identify the type of wound and underlying causes. An individually tailored treatment plan is then developed based on your special needs. Some of these may include physical therapy, vascular evaluation, nutritional management, pain management, shoe modification and/or bracing, diabetic education, radiology, nuclear medicine, surgical intervention.
Patients are always involved in their treatment plan and are instructed in ways to help with the healing process, including dressing changes, diet and lifestyle modifications. Severe or chronic wounds caused by compromised circulation, diabetes, or other problems have a better chance to heal if patients are involved in a program of whole body care. Although this kind of treatment could be hard to manage because it involves many different clinicians, our Wound Care Services Team coordinates this comprehensive approach with a focus on the patient. We treat the whole person, not just the wound.

One of the services available at Ministry Medical Group is the Arobella ultrasound. Low-frequency ultrasound therapy has been shown to have various positive effects in tissue restoration and wound healing. There are two main therapeutic effects of ultrasound on wound healing. The first effect involves the Cavitation effect which is the direct killing of surface bacteria and biofilms. The second effect is the stimulatory effect which generates nitric oxide within the endothelium for vasodilatation which results in increased blood flow. This stimulates fibroblasts, macrophages and endothelial cells to augment healing. The use of the Arobella in combination with proper wound care can reverse chronic non-healing wounds into fully healed wounds.
