The Journey of Life: Understanding Grief

When someone we love dies, they do not leave our hearts. Their presence is still very, very strong, and it rips us apart knowing we will never hear their laugh, or touch their soft face, or feel their embrace around our shoulders again. A piece of our life is missing, and their absence can be overwhelming.

Ministry Home Care is offering a series of grief support groups called “The Journey of Life: Understanding Grief.” The popular series includes six weekly sessions of information and support to assist adults in examining and understanding the grief process.

Facilitated by hospice staff and specially trained volunteers, the sessions will provide practical information and resources in a supportive setting, with the goal of enabling individuals to live with their loss. The group will meet Monday evenings, April 9 – May 14, 5:30-7:30pm at the Ministry Home Care office, 303 W. Upham Street in Marshfield.

There is no fee for attendance, but pre-registration is required by April 5, as class size is limited. Please call Ministry Home Care—Hospice Services, 800-397-4216 for additional information and pre-registration.
