The second annual evening of elegance & caring for hospice
Ministry Home Care – Hospice will host their annual semi-formal event in Wisconsin Rapids to kick off the winter holidays. Snowflake Ball 2012, a benefit for hospice patients and their families, will be held at Hotel Mead on Friday, December 7. The evening will feature dancing to live music from Rumours, a silent auction, delicious hors d-oeuvres and much more.
With tickets priced at just $25 each, the organizers are expecting a large crowd of hospice supporters. The doors will open at 6:30pm, and there will be dancing 8pm-midnight.
A very special feature will be their First Dance Tribute. Regardless of whether they can be present at the event, donors may make a contribution in advance to have their loved ones’ names read during this memorial presentation. Submissions for the First Dance Tribute must be received no later than November 27th. “It is such a beautiful way to remember those who’ve gone before us,” stated Deb Hickey, Ministry Home Care’s coordinator for the event. “It’s a great way to start the holidays with memories and love.”
Sponsors for this very special event include Charter, 88.5 The Family, Ritchay Funeral Home, Premier Printing and Hotel Mead.
A core group of volunteers created this event, and, according to Hickey, are doing an incredible job pulling all the many details together. From garnering the support of sponsors, getting silent auction items donated, arranging special appearances by area performers and celebrities, and pulling all the many logistics together, they are creating an event that’s sure to surpass last year’s gala. “I feel so blessed to have such a great team to work on this,” stated Hickey. “Their dedication is incredible.”
Tickets may be purchased until November 30 at any of the Ministry Home Care - Hospice sites in Marshfield or Wisconsin Rapids, or at Heid Music in Wisconsin Rapids. Call 800.397.4216 for more information.
