She is a member of the Wisconsin Psychological Association, the American Psychological Association and the National Register of Health Service Psychologists.
“In my practice, I talk to my patients while they do an activity that interests them,” said Dr. Kast. “That could be anything from drawing, to playing with puppets, to building a model. Playing while talking reduces the child’s anxiety and makes the clinical setting fun and safe. For me, play is a window into the child’s mind and is instrumental in helping me assess and treat the underlying behavioral issues. Play is truly my work.”
When she’s not taking care of patients, Dr. Kast enjoys sewing, gardening, crafting and traveling.
