Ministry Medical Group-Crandon Offers Community Chats

November 4, 2008

Ministry Medical Group (MMG) in Crandon is pleased to announce monthly “Community Chats” continue. “Community Chats” will be held the third Tuesday of each month through April 2009.   In lieu of the holidays, there will not be a program scheduled in December.  “Community Chats” begin at 5:30 p.m. and be held in the patient lobby of the Ministry Medical Group facility located at 209 East Elm Street in Crandon.  Programs are anticipated to last one hour or less with time for questions and discussion.

The next Community Chat is scheduled for Tuesday, November 18.  Please join Amy Franti, NP for a discussion about Smoking Cessation.  Question and answer time will be part of the presentation.

“MMG is committed to the Forest County community and part of our mission is to try to promote patient involvement in their ongoing health maintenance and care.  Education is integral to that involvement and in light of that, monthly talks by various health professionals are being organized around topics that are felt to be pertinent to the community at large,” shared Rebecca Perry, MD.  “These “Community Chats” will be evening presentations by our providers, staff and consulting providers focused on subjects we hope will be of interest to a broad segment of the population.  There will be time for questions and discussion.  Light refreshments will be provided.  Please plan on joining us for an evening of education and socializing,” continued Dr. Perry.

Future topics will be announced in Ministry Health Care’s Community Calendar of Events published in local papers. Your suggestions for future topics of interest to individuals and groups are welcome.  For more information or to suggest a future topic, please contact Ann Wied, Clinic Manager at 715.478.3318.
