Ministry Medical Group in Laona to Host a Community Health & Wellness Fair
(LAONA, WI) – Ministry Medical Group (MMG) in Laona is celebrating 30 years of healthcare in the community with a Community Health and Wellness Fair on Saturday, August 16 from 8 – 10 a.m. The health fair will feature free health screenings for community members. The clinic is located at 4876 Mill Street in Laona.
The health fair will feature FREE clinical screenings and information booths. Health screenings will include cholesterol and blood sugar screenings, blood pressure screenings, skin cancer screenings, and hearing screenings (audiograms). Booths will include information on smoking cessation and advanced directives.
“We are excited to provide these laboratory tests and screening exams at no cost to show our appreciation and dedication to the community of Laona,” said Ministry Medical Group Family Nurse Practitioner, Amy Kuebler. “We recognize that members of our community look forward to the free screenings offered during the MMG Laona Health Fair.”
New this year is a teddy bear clinic. Children are encouraged to bring their favorite teddy bear, or other stuffed animal, to the health fair and have it examined by a provider. The teddy bear clinic is an opportunity for children to explore healthcare experiences and to learn about diabetes and healthy lifestyles.
Appointments for screenings are not necessary, and all screenings are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information please call 715.478.6325.
