MOLVH Rehab conference success results in donation to Stanley Boyd Community Pool
In September, Ministry Our Lady of Victory Rehab Department hosted a professional conference on aquatic therapy for other rehabilitation professionals. Participation in the conference exceeded expectations and the rehab team decided to donate the surplus funds back to the pool that makes aquatic rehab at MOLVH possible.
MOLVH’s director of rehabilitation services, Steve Seiberling, DPT, helped organize the conference. He said, “We are pleased to be able to financially support the pool. Not only are they an excellent partner in our therapy program, they are a resource for the community for exercise and healthy activity. It’s a great facility, and swimming is a healthy option for families looking for something fun to do together.”
Cynthia Eichman, president of MOLVH, said, “When Steve suggested donating the money that was raised through this professional conference back to the pool program, we were very supportive. We shared his suggestion with our Board of Directors and they approved it unanimously and very enthusiastically. We think the partnership we have had with the Stanley-Boyd School since the inception of this Aquatic Therapy program in 2007 has been exceptional, and this donation is our way of giving back.”
Jim Jones, administrator for Stanley Boyd schools, says, “We are proud of our relationship with the local hospital and clinic and will use this donation toward the purchase of a large screen for the gymnasium for future presentations.”
Laura Schlichting, elementary school principal, added, “Thank you so much to MOLVH for their continued support of the Stanley Boyd School District”
