Ministry Our Lady of Victory Hospital and Victory Medical Group in Thorp Welcome Pundeep Kahlon, MD
Dr. Bill Hopkins will change locations from Thorp to Stanley
Family Physician Pundeep Kahlon, MD, has joined Victory Medical Group’s Thorp Clinic and the medical staff of Ministry Our Lady of Victory Hospital. She will begin seeing patients on July 22.
Dr. Kahlon will be practicing with Charles Wirtz, M.D., and Peter Gintner, PA-C, in Thorp. As a result of this addition to the Thorp Clinic, Dr. Bill Hopkins will relocate to the Stanley Clinic where he will be happy to continue seeing his current patients. Dr. Hopkins’ move will be effective July 6, 2010.
Cindy Eichman, president of Ministry Our Lady of Victory Hospital and Victory Medical Group says, “We have been recruiting for the right physician to join our Thorp practice for more than18 months and we have been in discussion with Dr. Kahlon while she was completing her residency. We feel Dr. Kahlon will do an excellent job treating patients of all ages and will help meet the need of our female patients who would prefer to see a woman physician. She was elected Chief Resident by her peers, which is the highest compliment and reserved for only one resident based on her clinical knowledge and working relationships with patients and staff.”
Dr. Kahlon is a family medicine physician who can take care of the physical, mental and emotional health of you and your family through all the stages of your life. Family doctors are trained in all areas of medicine and can diagnose and treat the full range of problems. Dr. Kahlon will also be treating patients in the hospital along with the other medical staff members.
Dr. Kahlon recently completed a family medicine residency with the Medical College of Wisconsin – St. Joseph’s program. She completed her earlier education in Canada, and then earned her medical degree from the Windsor University School of Medicine in St. Kitts, West Indies. She is licensed by the Wisconsin Board of Medical Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association. She will be Board Certified in family medicine in August, 2010. She is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics, and Neonatal Advanced Life Support.
Dr. Kahlon and her husband came to the United States from Canada to pursue their medical residency programs. They are expecting their first child in September.
