OLVH Celebrates Health Care Week with Award Announcement

Our Lady of Victory Hospital and all of Ministry Health Care are celebrating Health Care Week this year May 9-16. According to Cynthia Eichman, president, “We are celebrating the extraordinary work provided by all of our employees and medical staff members to ensure better health and better healthcare for the communities we serve. We acknowledge the important role each of our employees and medical staff members play in extending a sense of trust to our patients and community members. As leaders we have an important role to ensure they have the best possible work environment to come to each day. This is why we are very proud to share that we have received the Morehead Apex Workplace of Excellence award. This annual award is presented to only those organizations who have reached and sustained the 90th percentile or greater on their employee culture surveys administered to health care organizations nationally by Morehead Associates.”

The award was announced to OLVH staff as part of their Health Care Week celebration.

According to Morehead Associates, “These successful health care organizations are recognized for their knowledge that one of the most valuable resources for providing safe, superior care is the commitment and engagement of their employees and medical staff.”

“OLVH has long been recognized for its outstanding performance in providing health care throughout the region. We are delighted to present them with the Apex Workplace of Excellence Award in honor of the great work they do, both externally and internally," explains Larry Tilson, President, Morehead Associates. Each year, Morehead awards the health care industry’s top achievers by objectively identifying the highest performers and acknowledging their contributions to health care. These award winners share a dedication to providing a rewarding, professional environment for their employees and medical staff.”

Eichman adds, “We believe this award reinforces that our internal recognition programs, team communication, education, medical staff collaboration, and work processes are going well. We never want to take this for granted which is why we are continually asking to hear suggestions and concerns not only from our employees and medical staff, but also from you as patients, so we can act on them in a timely manner. We are making more than 1,000 follow-up calls a quarter to patients who have received our inpatient or outpatient services to ensure this communication is continued.”
