Victory Medical Group Making Provider Changes in Clinics
February 13, 2009
In order to continue to provide access to quality health care, Victory Medical Group (VMG) will be shifting clinicians in the Stanley, Thorp and Owen Clinics. These changes are effective April 1, 2009.
Stanley and Owen Clinics
Now that VMG’s newest provider, Physician Assistant Betsy Wacker, is on board and seeing patients in the Stanley Clinic, Nurse Practitioner Stacey Gusman will provide primary care services exclusively in the Owen Clinic four full days a week. Stacey’s office hours will be Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. VMG will continue to close the Owen Clinic on Tuesdays. The urgent care clinic at Our Lady of Victory Hospital is available if needed.
Dr. Charles Wirtz will be relocating his full-time practice from the Owen Clinic to the Thorp Clinic. Dr. Wirtz has indicated that he will be happy to continue seeing his Owen patients in the new location. He will be joining Dr. Bill Hopkins and Physician Assistant Peter Gintner.
Another change at the Thorp Clinic, also effective April 1, will be that the registration and the main entrance for all three providers will be in on the main floor, in the area that previously housed the Marshfield Clinic providers. The lower level will be used for employee parking and entrance only.
According to Cindy Eichman, president of Our Lady of Victory Hospital and Victory Medical Group, “We know this will be a change for some of our patients if they are currently seeing Stacey in the Stanley Clinic or Dr. Wirtz in the Owen Clinic, and we want to make this an easy transition for them. We look forward to continuing to provide quality health care services and appreciate everyone’s support of these changes.”
