Water damage at Ministry Victory Medical Group-Thorp Clinic causes temporary practice relocations
Ministry Victory Medical Group–Thorp experienced water damage on Sunday, January 2 when a water fixture malfunctioned in the upper level. The leak was discovered late in the day after causing damage to both the upper and lower levels.
The practices for Dr. Charles Wirtz, Dr. Pundeep Kahlon and Peter Gintner, P.A., have been relocated to Ministry Our Lady of Victory Hospital during the repair period, which is estimated to be four to six weeks. The clinic staff is contacting patients affected by the relocation. Patients needing appointments during this time may use the Thorp Clinic number, (715) 669-7279, which has been rerouted to the Stanley location.
No active medical records were damaged, however some inactive records stored in the lower level were sent out for a special freeze drying procedure to ensure required record retention for our patients. Lyle Swartz, facilities director at MOLVH, is coordinating the recovery and repair project. Cindy Lindgren, manager, clinic operations, is leading the clinic practice relocation.
“We have appreciated the understanding of our patients, the flexibility of our providers and staff, and the support of community businesses that are assisting with the cleanup and repair,” said Roxie Greene, V.P. of Patient Care Service.
