MOLVH Celebrates Health Care Week

Ministry Our Lady of Victory Hospital and all of Ministry Health Care are celebrating Health Care Week this year May 8-14. The week is a celebration of the history, technology and dedicated professionals that make healthcare facilities beacons of confidence and care. The theme for this year’s event is “Champions of Care.”

The theme underscores the concept that a hospital is more than a place where people go to heal, it is a part of the community that fosters health and represents hope. From providing treatment and comfort to the sick, to welcoming new life into the world, hospitals are central to a healthy and optimistic community.

According to Cynthia Eichman, president, “National Health Care Week, first and foremost, is a celebration of people. We are celebrating the extraordinary work provided by all of our employees and medical staff members to ensure better health and better healthcare for the communities we serve. We’re extremely proud of each member of our staff and we recognize the important role they play in extending a sense of trust to our patients and our communities.”

There are a number of events for staff during the week. On Friday, May 13 the employees at Ministry Our Lady of Victory Hospital are planting a tree in their courtyard after a special prayer service by Sr. Pat Belongia to honor the life of Sr. Mary Francis Streital – the foundress of the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother.

Every year during hospital week, MOLVH honors employees for their years of service. This year’s honorees are:
