Night of Dance Benefits Compassionate Care Fund

Approximately 175 friends of Saint Clare's Hospital came together for a Night of Dance to benefit the Compassionate Care Fund, for food, auction bidding, fun and dancing. Unified Soul, a popular local band, kept the dance floor alive with a range of contemporary and traditional ballroom music.

Many corporate sponsors and individuals supported the event. Costs for the dance floor expansion, photography, signs and other key expenses were underwritten to offset some of the event expenses.

Nearly $11,500 was raised from corporate sponsorships, ticket sales, auction bidding, raffle ticket sales and carry-out cake sales.

Community members on the planning committee include Rose Boron, Assisted Living Association and NCW; Gayle Boettcher, Dan Mortensen and Jan Mueller of Peoples State Bank; Tee Daly, Realty Executives; Mark Hull, Putnam Capital Management; Missy Kolbeck, Ballroom Dance Instructor; Michael Pierce, Weston Fire Chief and Dance Enthusiast; Rita Zeyghami, Central Wisconsin Engineers; and Mary Zuleger, Foundation Board Member.

Extra recognition goes to the following employees who helped make the event possible: Dale Evert, Food and Nutrition Services; Lori LaPorte, Gift Shop Supervisor; Lori Pecore, Resources Services Assistant; Ann Voigt, Surgery; Donna Dickman, Welcome Center Greter; Sherri Waid, Community Relations and Volunteers Manager.

The Compassionate Care Fund is a donor-supported safety net which helps patients with transportation, medications, food or clothing when they leave the hospital.
