Leaders and staff from Ministry Health Care’s Saint Clare’s Hospital spent a portion of the day Monday, July 13, highlighting the advantages of the all-digital environment in Weston to a key state leader.
State Senator Jon Erpenbach of Waunakee serves as chair of the Senate Committee on Health, Health Insurance, Privacy, Property Tax Relief and Revenue and is one of the leading supporters of Healthy Wisconsin, a comprehensive health care reform plan introduced in the Senate.
“We are thankful that Senator Erpenbach took the time to learn more about our system at Saint Clare’s and the significant role our all-digital environment plays in our delivery of high quality care,” said Saint Clare’s President Mary Krueger.
Erpenbach spent his time at Saint Clare’s getting a first hand look at how physicians and staff in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit are using the electronic medical record, advanced ICU monitoring systems and other aspects of the all-digital environment to improve patient care.
“You have a wonderful facility which is serving as a model for all of the state,” said Erpenbach. “As we continue this debate on health care reform, we need to consider all options and it’s important for us to explore all uses of technology.”
The newest member of the Ministry Health Care system sponsored by the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother, Saint Clare’s Hospital is a 110-bed all-digital provider of quality, compassionate care in central Wisconsin offering a wide range of primary and specialty care.
