The Foundation of Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital in Weston is ringing in the holiday season with a new location for its Angels Among Us Holiday Festival.
After its initial offering a year ago on the Weston Regional Medical Center Campus, this year the fun-filled family event moves to the Rothschild Pavilion on Saturday, December 15, from 4-8pm.
Featured activities of the Angels Among Us Holiday Festival include visits and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, children’s craft’s, classic holiday movies, winter carriage rides, hot chocolate, cookies, therapy dogs, Holiday music from area schools and the opportunity to purchase limited-edition Angels of Gratitude ornaments. A lighting ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m.
Foundation Director Antonina Olszewski says that the Angels Among Us organizing committee has been busy planning the event with added excitement with the move to the Rothschild Pavilion. “Our goal is to transform one of the area’s most historic buildings into a winter wonderland of excitement for children of all ages,” said Olszewski.
Admission to the Holiday Festival is free, but some activities will have a nominal fee with all proceeds from the event benefiting the Foundation of Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital and its programs that assist patients in need at time of discharge, victims of abuse, infants and children and student programs that encourage careers in health care.
“These programs touch so many lives and we hope the entire community will embrace this event to support our patients in need.” added Olszewski.
