For the second straight year, golfers from throughout north central Wisconsin scored a hole in one in support of Foundation of Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital Golf Outing.
83 golfers participated in the event on June 6 at Greenwood Hills Country Club in Wausau and raised more than $26,000 to support programs at Ministry Health Care’s hospital in Weston.
Money raised will be used to support critical programs for treating adults and children who are victims of abuse and the Compassionate Care Fund which provides much needed support to patients of Ministry Saint Clare’s at the time of discharge from the hospital.
"Once again we have been blessed by the support of our community in their support of our Foundation," said Ministry Saint Clare’s President Mary Krueger. "These programs support some of the most vulnerable in our community and would not be possible without events like this."
Director of Case Management Mark Moser and Nursing Director of Emergency Services Anne Rifleman extended their department’s thanks to the many businesses that supported the event as hole sponsors and those who made donations for the various raffles and silent auctions as well as the golf committee organizers that played a key role in support of the event.
"The funds allow us to train our staff, offer needed services and supplies and provide expert services to our most vulnerable patients," said Rifleman and Moser. "This safety net is greatly appreciated by our hospital staff and our patients."
The Foundation of Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital has been established to support Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital in Weston and its mission to further the healing ministry of Jesus. The Foundation’s mission statement is to improve the health and well-being of all people, especially the poor and vulnerable in the communities we serve.
