Foundation of Ministry Saint Clare’s to Hold 3rd Annual Angels Among Us

The Foundation of Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital in Weston is ready to ring in the holiday season with the Angels Among Us Holiday Lighting Festival.

The fun-filled family event will be held on Saturday, December 14, from 4-7p.m., at the Rothschild Pavilion. A special tree lighting ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m.

Featured activities include visits and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, children’s craft’s, classic holiday movies, story-time, milk & cookies, holiday music performances from area schools, the opportunity to purchase limited-edition Angels of Gratitude ornaments and enjoy food from Red Eye Brewing Company. Additionally, there will be several fundraising raffles with prizes including jewelry, iPads, American Girl dolls, Dells Vacations, wine baskets and more!

The monies raised at Angels Among Us support three key Foundation funds:

Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE):  A fund which supports several critical programs for treating adults and children whom are victims of abuse and sexual assault.

Infants and Children: The Saint Clare’s perinatal bereavement program is a comprehensive program designed to meet the complex needs of bereaved patients. This fund also supports infant CPR kits—every new family at Saint Clare’s receives one—the safe sitter program, and the lactation program and the Mommy Café (a support group for new mothers).

Compassionate Care: This important fund helps patients with food, transportation, medication or clothing needs they may have when they leave the hospital.

“After transforming the historic Rothschild Pavilion a year ago into a winter wonderland of excitement, our organizing committee has been working hard to make it bigger and better for participants of all ages, ” said Olszewski.

Admission to Angels Among Us is free, but some activities will have a nominal fee with all proceeds from the event benefiting the Foundation.

“These programs touch so many lives and we hope the entire community will continue to embrace this event to support our patients in need.” added Olszewski.
