Kolten Care's Golf Outing to Benefit Foundation of Ministry Saint Clare's Hospital

Registrations are still being accepted for the Kolten Care’s Golf Outing to be held at Indianhead Golf Course on Saturday, August 27.

In its second year, the event was organized by 10-year old Kolten Craft and his Family to benefit the Compassionate Care Fund of the Foundation of Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital.

Kolten is the son of Ministry Saint Clare’s Case Manager, Krista Craft. Krista faces the challenge of helping patients meet their needs once they leave the hospital. Unfortunately, many find that they cannot afford the medications recommended to them upon discharge, the continued medical treatment they may need, or in some instances, just the cost of getting home. Hearing these stories, Kolten suggested to his mother that they turn his annual birthday golf outing into a fundraiser to support Ministry Saint Clare’s patients in need. And last year, with the hard work and help of his family, Kolten did just that. The event raised more than $3,000; and for his efforts, Kolten was named one of three Outstanding Citizens of the Year by the South Area Business Association.

The event begins with registration at 2 p.m. and a shotgun start at 3:30pm. Cost is $160.00 for a 4-person team and includes 9-holes of golf with a cart, dinner and the opportunity to take part in various raffles and awards.

Registration information is available by contacting Krista Craft at 715.212.1774 or Krista.craft@ministryhealth.org.
